Personal Update

Happy June, Friends.

If you’ve noticed that I’ve been quiet these past couple of months, there is a reason.

As I stepped into 2026, God made it clear that it was time to pause the ministry. At the time, I didn’t fully understand what that meant. I thought it was simply a pause in activity. What I didn’t realize was that God was inviting me into a sabbatical season.

If I’m honest, the first month was difficult. Much of my life had been spent moving, building, creating, and pouring out. Slowing down felt unfamiliar and uncomfortable. Yet in the stillness, God began to reveal things that busyness had hidden.

This season has been one of sitting with Him in quiet places. Learning again what it means to ABIDE. To remain close to Jesus without striving. To seek His presence more than productivity.

There have been moments of lament and moments of deep rest. Times of healing, reflection, and surrender. There has also been preparation taking place beneath the surface—building foundations, clarifying vision, dreaming with God, and allowing Him to shape what comes next in His timing rather than my own.

One thing I continue to learn is that God is not only present in the seasons of fruitfulness and visible growth. He is equally present in the hidden seasons. The seasons where roots grow deeper than anyone can see. The seasons where He invites us to trust Him without needing immediate answers.

Perhaps some of you find yourselves in a similar place today. Maybe you’re in a season that feels slower than expected. Maybe God has asked you to wait, to rest, or to release something you’ve held tightly. If so, be encouraged: a pause is not the same as an ending. God often does some of His deepest work in the places that seem quiet and unseen.

What feels hidden to us is never hidden from Him.

As I continue walking through this sabbatical season, I am filled with anticipation for what God is doing and what lies ahead. I don’t have all the details yet, but I am learning that obedience doesn’t require having the full picture—it simply requires trusting the One who does.

Thank you for your prayers, your encouragement, and your grace during this season. I’m excited to share more in the months ahead as God continues to unfold His plans.

With Gratitude,

Dawn Lang

Wildly Free Missional Hub

We all have assignments that God has entrusted us with. For the majority of us, those assignments are usually not connected to a place. It is us showing up where God has asked us, doing the things He has laid on our hearts. Using our gifts/passions to help others take steps towards Jesus.

What I have seen over the past several years is a lot of women aren’t fully stepping into their assignments because they feel:

-unequipped

-unsupported

-lack in clarity and direction

-lack in accountability

-lack in encouragement

-don’t have someone to pray with or be a cheerleader in their corner

-don’t have a place or opportunities to use their giftings

Much more…..

If you identify with any of the above, then the Wildly Free Missional Hub is for you!!!

The Missional Hub is a place to be equipped, supported, encouraged, gain clarity, help in walking out your assignments, pray with, accountability and much more.

A community of other women just like you. A place to find connection and community.

If you are interested in learning more or being a part of this community, you can email to: wildlyfreeministry@gmail.com.

Let 2024 be the year where you are running WILD in your assignments – not alone – but in a supported community.

Backyard Freedom Series

In my life, some of the most meaningful, beautiful, hard & difficult conversations have happened in the backyard. I think there is something about being outside in nature and having rich, deep, challenging conversations.

In a couple of weeks, will be our next backyard gathering. Plan to join us for a space to learn, be encouraged, challenged and inspired.

Bring a lawn chair, Bible, notebook and friends. Hope to see you there!

Soul Freedom Living

In Colossians 1:28-29 NIV, Paul writes, “He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ. To this end I strenuously contend with all the energy Christ so powerfully works in me.”

Paul knew how big our mission of “admonishing and teaching everyone” is. But, Paul also knew that we can’t and shouldn’t serve “everyone” in our own strength.

God supplies the power, energy, and strength necessary for His work.

How are we supposed to live with His energy when we have to make dinner, respond to emails, work, clean the bathroom, and make it to our kids practice on time?

Here are three biblical principles to help you serve with the strength and energy God supplies:

  1. Keep an Eternal Mindset (2 Cor 4:17-18)

An eternal mindset is this: thinking, implementing, and dwelling on the commands of Christ above the demands of this world.
It’s so easy to get caught up in our day-to-day life that we forget it’s all temporary. Hours, days, and seasons come and go, but tasks like discipling our children, sharing the Gospel with our neighbors, and serving will last.
Once we recognize and live in this truth, we can depend more fully on the God’s strength and energy. He has called us, and He will equip us for the eternal work at hand.

  1. Know and Use Your Gifts (1 Pet 4:10)

As believers filled with the Spirit, we’ve each been given spiritual gifts and a role to fulfill. It’s only when we each do our part the work is accomplished. Knowing our gifts grants us the freedom to fulfill our calling.

We don’t have to do it all!  In other words, use the gifts you’ve been given and allow others to do the same. Stay in your lane.
This type of obedience is not only pleasing to God, but it also prevents us from becoming overworked and stretched too thin.

  1. Rest in God. (Gen 2:1)

Yes, we have work to do. But, if the Creator rested, shouldn’t we? It’s no question as to why we lack energy when we refuse to stop working, overextend ourselves, and never slow down.
Maybe this doesn’t mean we complete everything on our to-do lists with absolutely nothing left to do, but instead, we work for an allotted time with the energy God supplies. Then we stop and refresh, recognizing that our best efforts bring glory to God.

Working with an end in mind helps us to depend on God’s strength. Resting acknowledges that God’s sovereignty and ability to work even when we are not.

If you’re feeling sluggish in your spiritual walk and could use some renewed energy, take some time today to remember just Who the source of your energy is.

Remember with the Spirit’s strength, we will have the energy we need to complete the mission at hand.

“Let us run with endurance the race that lies before us, keeping our eyes on Jesus, the source and perfecter of our faith…” – Hebrews 12:1b-2a HCSB
